About
Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Portland and a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. After graduating college, she moved back to her hometown and began petsitting before starting Animals of the Pacific Northwest, a website dedicated to educating folks about pet care, native wildlife of the Pacific Northwest, and environmental justice. Her photography grew from spending so much time with animals, particularly her one-eyed black lab named Rooster and her neighbor’s animals, a llama, two sheep, chickens, cats, and a golden retriever named Milo.
