My work focuses on nature and animals, both domestic and wild. The world we live in is a magical and wonderful place; photos are an amazing way to share the natural world around us.

In addition to my other website, Animals of the Pacific Northwest, my work can be found in the Whatcom Humane Society’s Happy Tails Calendars (2023-2026, with 2027 currently in production) and the Jansen Art Center’s 2026 Summer Juried Exhibit. Other examples of my work can also be found here.

Andrea Merrill is a photographer and writer located in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to her art, she has cared for a range of animals for the last eight years and currently works at an open-admission shelter, where her work focuses on donor management, event support, website maintenance, and marketing.
